Indices

Our Indices CFDs allow you to take a view on the world’s largest and most important global stock markets without trading or owning the underlying shares. Indices such as the Dow jones index (US30) represent a basket of the 30 largest companies listed on US stock exchanges. These Indices can be bought or sold using a CFD with the aim of generating a profit.

Stocks

When you trade a Share CFD, you’re buying or selling a CFD over a company such as Amazon (AMZN:NAS) listed on an exchange such as the NASDAQ. Shares in publicly listed companies like AMZN:NAS are typically traded without leverage and through a stock exchange.

When you do this you are the owner of the shares, entitled to voting right, etc.. Share CFDs on the other hand are traded using leverage and are done so over-the-counter (OTC). This means you don’t own the stock, the CFD is simply a contract between you and the broker to earn a profit or loss from price movements in the underlying Share.

Share CFDs are really for price speculation rather than long term investment and portfolio building.

Crypto

When you trade cryptocurrencies, you are trading digital currency. This includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple. Cryptocurrencies are intended to work just like regular currency. This means that you can use it to buy products and services, or trade it for other currencies. The major advantage that cryptocurrency users, owners, and creators tout is that it is immune to government intervention or the creation of "new" money.

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin, and Ethereum are based on a blockchain, and they exist without the aid of Ethereum, which is a type of ledger that keeps track of transactions.

Bonds

The Fixed Income asset class consists of different debt instruments, with the most popular and traded type of Fixed Income security being government bonds. Since government bonds are typically tied to floating interest rates, you are trading future interest rate expectations for that country. This makes government bonds one of the purest ways to speculate on the health of an economy, risk on/off, reserve bank quantitative easing programs, and so on.

Our government bond CFDs are based on the futures markets for those products. This gives you the ability to speculate purely on the price of the bond without actually owning it.

This also means there is no interest debited or credited, you only have to worry about the price of the bond and whether you go long or short.
